I would like to speak with experienced Estimators for an opportunity with a contractor in Birmingham.

They are open-minded as regards the background of applicants due to the diversity of their project portfolio- you could come from either a specialist subcontracting background and have experience of groundworks and reinforced concrete structures or from a main contracting background and have experience of tendering for Civil Engineering/Infrastructure schemes- particularly Civil Engineering packages in Rail and Energy.

Candidates who have successfully tendered Civil Engineering contracting packages on schemes such as HS2 and the Midland Metro will be of particular interest.

The ideal candidate will have a stable track record of pricing and winning projects from first principle i.e. building up your own costs and rates (plant, materials and labour)as part of the tendering process and will be able to do so confidently and efficiently with minimum supervision.

You'll work as part of a successful pre-construction team so the assistance and support is there but I am not looking for someone of trainee or intermediate level.

On offer is a salary and package that is pitched at a level that will attract the right candidates- there is room for manoeuvre for those with particularly relevant profiles.

Also, the opportunity is there to work on a daily rate and this could be between 350-450 per day and again this is dependent on experience and future potential.

The base salary will be between 85-105k with plenty of room for negotiation.
