This role is for a temporary to permanent position. The Metal Roller must be experienced in working on metal rolling machine, the role will pay a starting rate of 12.50 which will increase on completion of the six-month trial period.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate rolling machines to bend, form, and shape metal materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine product specifications.
- Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on rolling machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and materials used
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Metal Roller in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of rolling machines, including plate rollers and section rollers.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and the effects of rolling on different materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
