OVERVIEW - EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSURER - ENGINEERING TRAINING SECTOR

We are looking for a commercially aware, strong quality assurance professional with an engineering background, working in the vocational technical training and testing environment to provide a QA and continual improvement service to UK Licenced Training Providers and some located overseas.

This is a Hybrid role, so you will need to flexible to different locations. There will also be an opportunity to work remotely from home.

You will have a solid background in Engineering, having moved into education and working within a quality assurance role e.g. (IQA, Education Manager / Curriculum Manager / Quality Manager)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSURER - ENGINEERING TRAINING SECTOR

  • Ensuring that UK and international providers maintain training and testing delivery standards, meet compliance criteria, and continually improve their offering to learners.
  • Exploring commercial opportunities for growth with existing and new providers
  • Deliver on-going provider auditing.
  • Contribute to standardise and improve the quality assurance processes across the UK & International provider network.
  • Home-based role with a predominately UK focus plus international responsibilities. Travel is a significant feature of the role to visit training providers both domestically and internationally. Daily international allowance will apply for overseas trips.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSURER - ENGINEERING TRAINING SECTOR

  • A Level/ONC/OND level of education or equivalent including Maths and English. IT literacy
  • Level 3 or above Engineering Vocational and Teaching, Learning Qualification.
  • Assessor & IQA qualifications
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
  • Good understanding of the observation and audit process.
  • Knowledge of training and assessment.
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Good organising skills including time management. Able to work to deadlines and deliver results.
  • Customer focused and commercially aware.
  • The ability to make sound evidence-based decisions.
  • The ability to handle challenges and pressure.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK indefinitely
  • A basic DBS check is required before employment can start.

  • Salary £42,000 - £45,000 (Total package including car allowance)
