Sonic Summary

We are seeking a Forwarder to join our fast-paced freight forwarding team, offering a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year.
The role involves managing end-to-end forwarding activities while ensuring compliance with strict SOPs and KPIs.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics and possess strong customer service skills.
Key responsibilities include processing customs entries, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate invoicing and job costing.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international transport and customs processes, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing end-to-end forwarding activities, ensuring smooth operations.
Following strict SOPs and KPIs to maintain compliance.
Providing excellent customer service, handling clearances, quotes, shipments, and invoicing.
Coordinating with internal and external customers to ensure timely deliveries.
Updating invoicing, job costing, and milestone tracking within required timeframes.
Processing customs entries and managing cost control measures.
Assisting senior forwarders, supervisors, and management as needed.
Maintaining compliance with CAA, TAPA, HMRC, GDP, and IATA regulations.
Ensuring accurate reporting and resolving queries from customers and suppliers.
Supporting sales and management with customer development initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

GCSEs or equivalent qualification.
Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a business-related field.
Strong customer service background with proven operational experience.
Understanding of international transport (Air, Sea, Road) and customs processes.
Financial awareness and cost control understanding.
IT proficiency, particularly in transport sector systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, as required.
