A respected multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Head of Fire Risk to lead and grow their established fire risk function, in their Birmingham based office.

Working across sectors - from residential to commercial, and social to specialist - this is a standout opportunity for a seasoned fire risk professional ready to take on a key leadership role.

The Head of Fire Risk's Role

The Head of Fire Risk will oversee a close-knit team of four fire professionals, delivering fire risk assessments and fire strategy reports across a portfolio of 500+ low-rise properties annually.

These span varied sectors and are largely at construction phase, requiring proactive input and advisory at early design stages.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and mentoring the fire risk team, including direct support to a Graduate Fire Engineer
  • Producing fire strategy reports (minimum of two per month)
  • Providing specialist advice during the construction phase
  • Carrying out fire risk inspections across a broad mix of sectors and property types
  • Contributing to wider safety and compliance services including inspections, damp & mould work, and fire door surveys

The successful Head of Fire Risk Will Have?

Qualifications:

  • Level 5 +
  • Membership of IFE or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in writing fire strategy reports
