The Opportunity:
A robust, altnet operator is looking for a Head of Network Solutions as part of its 2025 expansion. The role will suit a telco veteran who appreciates the overall build and technology architecture from a residential customer premises through to the back haul and core technology. You do not necessarily need to be technical guru in all areas. This will line manage the delivery teams and will work closely with other teams (PMO / BSS / OSS / IT etc.) to provide a solution that is technically assured and aligned to the architectural roadmap.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high performing network solutions team
- Plays a key part in delivery of large, complex strategic programmes from CP to backhaul and core
- Responsible for the delivery team, which will be accountable for design and technical recommendations aligned to the architectural roadmap, whilst also ensuring scalability, security and flexibility
- Working collaboratively with the PMO, OSS/BSS and IT teams in the preparation of solution pricing, documentation and solution design
- Responsible for proactively identifying innovative technology solutions, that meet business needs that removes obstacles for the business
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record experience in designing and monitoring varied network technologies and delivering solutions to solve business requirements
- Proven track record of managing teams to design and deliver large and small scale change programmes
- Proven track record of proposing and estimating network technology solutions
- Understanding business requirements and translating into solutions
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Proven track record of costs estimation experience, including development, test and integration costs
