Kind Consultancy is working with a Specialist Challenger Bank which is currently seeking an Interim Head of Operational resilience to join them for 12 months of Maternity Leave cover. This is a full-time role paying a competitive salary, based in their West Midlands offices.

Key responsibilities of the Interim Head of Operational Resilience will include:

  • Ownership of the ongoing development of the Operational Resilience Framework - ensuring it is to robust and fit for purpose, acting as the first line of defence.
  • Analysing monthly resilience reporting, continuous development of reporting, supporting stakeholders in identifying variances in their data to identify actions to strengthen controls and mitigate
  • Managing the resilience scenario library, facilitating testing and assisting business and SME areas in identifying risks within their own frameworks and processes that may impact operational resilience
  • Influencing and engaging with projects to ensure development, change and new products are considering resilience
  • Forming and building ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing reporting, supporting stakeholders in identifying variances in their data to identify actions to strengthen controls and mitigate
  • Formulating guidelines, policy and standards documents to ensure adherence across the business.
  • Promoting Operational Resilience awareness and education across the business as the framework and approach develops

Our ideal candidate for the Interim Head of Operational Resilience opportunity:

  • Displays a dynamic approach to the application of Operational Resilience rules and guidance
  • Has strong, up-to-date knowledge of the relevant regulations within UK Financial Services.
  • Has a proven ability to assist stakeholders in identifying vulnerabilities through engagement and questioning
  • Is an excellent communicator in both writing and speech, able to translate complex technical topics for a variety of audiences
  • Is analytically minded, with the ability to dissect information to identify key actions and vulnerabilities
