We are looking for a Housing options assistant to join the team of a well-established organisation in Birmingham, on a temporary basis offering a 6 month contract. This role is offering a great opportunity to gain experience in a reputable company, with good transport lines and a friendly team on hand.

Housing Options Assistant
Mon - Fri/ 37 hours
Birmingham
Temporary - 6 months
£15-17ph paid weekly via umbrella

As a Housing Options Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Process invoices, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist Housing Options Officers and Team Leaders with administrative tasks such as updating data, scanning and photocopying.
  • Work with the Housing Options Team to ensure efficient management of the Housing Register specifically in relation to Homeless Applications and medical priority.
  • Provide administrative support to Private Sector Development including carrying out land registry checks.
  • Provide support and cover to other team members as required.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required and which are considered appropriate to the grade of the post.

To be successful as a Housing Options Assistant, you ideally will have:
  • Previous administrative experience within a housing background
  • Knowledge of housing options policies/ legislation
  • An understanding of private sector development ( land registry checks etc)
