RT Recruitment is supporting a dynamic and supportive organisation in Birmingham that is looking to welcome a motivated HR Assistant to their growing People team.

About the Role:

This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll be involved in everything from recruitment coordination to employee onboarding and general HR admin. You’ll be a key player in making sure the people side of the business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Duties:
  • Supporting recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and liaising with candidates

  • Assisting with onboarding and induction processes for new starters

  • Maintaining accurate employee records and updating the HR system

  • Assisting with absence management, holiday tracking, and payroll admin

  • Helping organise training, appraisals, and employee engagement initiatives

  • Responding to general HR queries and providing day-to-day support to the wider team

What You’ll Need:
  • Previous experience in an HR or administration role (6-12 months minimum preferred)

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Friendly, approachable, and able to maintain confidentiality

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems

  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is an advantage but not essential
