Junior Acoustic Consultant

My client is a well-established UKAS accredited consultancy, founded in 2004, specializing in acoustic engineering and noise control solutions. They are dedicated to providing personalized services to effectively address the unique acoustic challenges encountered by their clients. Their comprehensive offerings include noise studies, acoustic design, and mitigation solutions tailored to various sectors such as education, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of practical experience in conducting sound and noise assessments.
  • A valid UK driver's licence is required.
  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or a Master of Science (MSc) in acoustic engineering or a related field, in addition to certification from the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across different departments to ensure timely project delivery and meet all deadlines.
  • Compile technical data from assessments and create comprehensive technical reports for clients.
  • Conduct surveys and evaluations on noise and vibration using specialized modelling software.
  • Ensure that all assessments and remedial advice comply with and exceed British standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication and strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
