Overview:

Join a high-performing team shaping the future of infrastructure as a Lead Temporary Works Coordinator for a prestigious high-speed rail project. Based near Buckingham, this role is crucial in overseeing all Temporary Works (TW) activities within the Calvert Area, ensuring safety, compliance, and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the team of Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs) within the Calvert Area.
  • Perform TWC duties as needed and maintain the Temporary Works Control Register.
  • Assess risks associated with TW activities and ensure accurate recording.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Temporary Works Design Briefs in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design, checking, approval, installation, maintenance, and removal of TW.
  • Prepare and communicate Safe Systems of Work for TW erection, use, and dismantling.
  • Ensure site conditions, ground loadings, and assumptions align with design requirements throughout project execution.
  • Enforce hold points (Permit to Load/Unload) and verify compliance before proceeding.
  • Confirm the competence of bespoke fabricators and maintain comprehensive project records.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in Temporary Works Coordination and major civil engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of BS5975 standards.
  • CSCS Temporary Works Coordinator Training certification.
  • Strong IT skills and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Mandatory:
    • CSCS Card (Black, Blue, Gold, Red-Experienced, or White/Yellow).
    • Full UK driving license.
