Alecto recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mobile Forklift Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading provider of construction and engineering services, specializing in material handling machinery. Our client is known for their excellence in servicing and maintaining a wide range of forklifts and related equipment.

As a Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a wide range of forklifts, including counterbalance trucks, reach trucks, and electric pallet trucks. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the equipment is in optimal working condition, contributing to the efficiency and success of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of forklifts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Provide both workshop-based and on-site service to clients, ensuring minimal downtime for their operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including service reports and parts used.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and manage your own workload efficiently.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry developments and manufacturer training.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer, Service Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of forklift brands and models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Relevant technical qualifications and certifications are highly desirable.
