I'm recruiting for a Pricing Specialist to join an expanding freight forwarding company based in the Birmingham area, You must have AIR or OCEAN freight experience.
Daily duties will include:
- Receiving customer quotations
- Air or ocean freight pricing import, export and cross trade
- Quoting on spot shipments from the network and tenders
- Negotiating rates with carriers, hauliers and suppliers
- Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within an agreed timeframe
- Communicate with customers to manage and follow up on all quotes, obtaining feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to relevant teams
- Track success and failure rate of quotes
- Develop and build relationships with customers
- Updating tariffs
Experience needed:
- Good knowledge of freight products and operational processes
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong numerical and commercial skills
- Excellent communication skills
Working hours:
- Monday - Friday 0900am - 1730pm
