NMS Recruit is seeking an experienced Project Estimator specialising in Turbomachinery to collaborate with a rotating equipment expert. The role involves converting client work specification/requirements and the site assessment information for from the TFA or PM into a detailed project costing to allow formal tender to be submitted. The role is open to a hybrid option and travel will be required to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities
Handling of initial customer Request For Quote and efficient data entry of service prospects and actual enquiries in SalesForce tool.
Review of Client technical and commercial specification and highlighting any areas of concern/focus
Review of Technical Field Authority workscope recommendations
Liaising with Client contacts as needed to fully understand their requirements in relation to quotation return date, technical scope, commercial, delivery and quality.
Agreeing bid approach and price formulation with Project Manager
Support technical procurement, as part of the estimation process, liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors.
Obtaining supplier/sub-contractor pricing as required
Collating of relevant information, technical data and generating internal document packs for estimates/quotes
Development of detailed, technical estimation. Incorporating structured work scope, budgeted hours and direct costs
Formulate detailed commercial basis of quotations and support the Commercial function in accordance with local Delegation of Authority.
Ensure Tenders are issued to the Client on time
Liaise with Clients & Area Sales Engineer(s) regularly, ensuring communication and commitments on responses are agree
In the event of a Client PO, ensure the scope, commercial schedules and contractual arrangements align with the quotation
Process the order acknowledgement in accordance with policy, with agreed terms and in a timely manner
Hand over the quote pack and brief Operations management on the project requirements to allow for order release to the workshop team and support any scope queries from works staff
Liaise with operations (Production Manager, Supervisor, Team Leaders) in relation to any changes to scope on released orders and generate quotation for additional work/variations.

Experience
HNC in mechanical engineering or business level equivalent
Prince 2 project management skills an advantage
Working knowledge of turbo services on-site overhaul and rebuild activities
Working knowledge of workshop reclamation and repair processes
Good knowledge of TS service and repair supply chain
Strong customer service ethic while ensuring commercial objectives are maintained
Able to work accurately under time pressure
Able to multi-task and pivot to meet emerging customer/business demands
Previous experience of working in a TS service industry environment.
Experienced in use of ERP systems (such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar
Experienced in Microsoft Office suite software including MS Project
