Job Title: Sales Director - Plumbing & Heating

Industry Sector: Heating, Radiators, Heated Towel Rails, Heating Merchants, Plumbing Merchants, Retail Showrooms, Kitchen Showrooms, Bathroom Retailers and Builders Merchants

Area to be covered: NationalRemuneration: £75,000-£80,000 Neg. + Up to 25% BonusBenefits: £800 Car allowance and full benefitsThe role of the Sales Director - Plumbing & Heating will involve:

  • Full responsibility for national sales team
  • Strategic role, you will be required to create and implement a sales strategy which will enable the field sales team to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Changing the sales team culture from a reactive/ account management to being more demand creation orientated/ proactive and new business with contractors and installers
  • Ability to assist the team in fully utilising the in house CRM system to improve report writing and accountability
  • Selling a distributed range of heating products
  • Joint visits with field sales teams calling on heating distributors and retailers accounts as well as heating contractors/ installers
  • Tasked with growing UK turnover
  • Typically two/ three days on the road with sales team, rest of time either working from home or office
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring and supporting the field sales team (managing their diaries etc.)

The ideal applicant will be a Sales Director - Plumbing & Heating with:

  • Proven track record of having managed a field sales team in the plumbing and heating sector
  • Must be capable of both creating and implementing sales strategy
  • Demonstrable track record of having grown sales turnover
  • Ideally able to bring some leads/ network of contacts within plumbing and heating contractors, distributors and retailers
  • Hardworking, trustworthy and reliable
  • Knowledge of plumbing, heating or bathroom associated products such as radiators, boilers, heating controls, heating cylinders, showers, taps, towel rails, sanitaryware advantageous (not essential)
  • Drive and determination
