City of Birmingham School is seeking a highly organised and efficient School Administrator to join our team. This role is crucial in providing effective and professional administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure the delivery of a professional and efficient service.
  • Manage the administration of all referrals to the school, including maintaining the Local Authority waiting list.
  • Log all referrals using appropriate systems and coordinate relevant papers and electronic files.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to allocate pupils to campuses in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with local authority officers and be the point of contact for parents/carers regarding pupil provision.
  • Minute taking at various meetings and managing the school calendar.
  • Organise Whole School Induction days and ensure policies and procedures are up to date.
  • Arrange necessary logistics for school training days and handle confidential work.
  • Maintain and develop administrative procedures, personnel records, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support Governing Body Committees and manage computerised personnel records.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in administrative work.
  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade A*-C or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and experience with large, complex spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Motivation to work with children and young people, and ability to form appropriate relationships.
