School Attendance officer required to work at a school in Birmingham.As an Attendance officer you will be:
- Taking calls from student and parents reporting absences
- Collating data and recording in excel format
- Contacting parents to report student absences and attendance issues
- Monitoring absences and raising issues with relevant departments
- Input attendance data and investigating any missing data, and maintaining accurate attendance records, including unexplained lesson absences.
Requirements:
- Ideally have experience using G4Schools or sims (not essential)
- Previous experience as an attendance officer in a school
- ENHANCED DBS DISCLOSURE dated within the last year of issue or on the update service
About You:
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexibility and ability to prioritise tasks and workload to meet deadlines
- A confident, professional phone manner and ability to answer calls with ease
- Great oral and written communication skills
- A high level of accuracy
- The ability to be both proactive and reactive in a timely and professional manner
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- Good data entry and computer-based record-keeping skills
- The ability to quickly learn new computer programmes and systems
