Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client a well-established firm in Birmingham looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join its Accounts team at the forefront of delivering excellent client service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to progress to a managerial position.
Responsibilities
- Accounts preparation for Ltd Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships & Charities
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of management accounts
- Attending client meetings
- Overseeing the work of more junior accountants
- Completing tax computations for both personal and corporate clients
- Communication with HMRC
- Accounts Administration
- Assisting with the training and development needs of the more junior accountants
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in Practice
- AAT qualified/part-qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
- Experience of cloud-based software such as Xero and QuickBooks is preferable
- Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
- Good academic background
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and numeric skills
- Excellent Excel skills
