An independent, family-run multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their Birmingham team.

The successful Principal Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design risks for a diverse range of projects.
Responsibilities of the CDM Principal Designer:
- Lead the implementation and compliance of CDM regulations across multiple projects.
- Provide expert advice on safety regulations and design risk management.
- Oversee the development of pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
- Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Facilitate design review meetings and workshops to ensure risk management is prioritised.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure effective communication of health and safety requirements.
Requirements for the CDM Principal Designer:
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and design risk management.
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in a senior or leadership role within a consultancy environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with diverse teams.
