SHE Advisor - Birmingham - Up to 50K plus package

Tradeline are actively recruiting for an experienced SHE Advisor to join a leading Midlands based Contractor.

Thisis a fantastic position for someone looking to work for a large contracting company with an excellent reputation andcommitment to Health and Safety. Our clientcontinues to grow year on year, offering the successful candidate thechance to work on exciting developments. Your role will be split between office and site locations, and it will be yourresponsibility to ensure standards and procedures are being maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to senior management and subordinates on SHE issues.

  • Attend pre-commencement meetings as requested to proactively contribute to the initial decisions made by thecontract team.

  • Provide assistance / advice to the organisation to enable statutory notices to be applied for when required.

  • Bring to the attention of the Contracts Manager, SHE Director, Construction Director and/or others any seriousbreaches of Company policy, procedures and legislation.

  • Promote a positive H&S Culture within the Company.

  • Assist the Regional SHE Manager to prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy.

  • Produce RAMS.

  • Planned site visits and audits including reporting and follow up actions.

  • Identify training needs and deliver on site training including toolbox talks.

  • Investigate accidents and incidents.

  • Ensure Company compliance with CDM regulations and other relevant statutes.

Requirements

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification (IOSH/ NEBOSH or other relevant qualification).

  • Experience as a Health and Safety Advisor.

  • Ability to work independently as well as contributing to team and company wide strategy.

  • Efficient audit monitoring skills.

  • IT literate.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Clean Driving Licence.
