WRG are supporting an independent property & construction consultancy who have been established for over 70 years, the business boasts a headcount of over 300 professionals offering a range of services including building surveying, project and cost management, civil engineering, architecture and H&S/ CDM.

They are recruiting for a Health & Safety/ CDM Advisor to join the business out of their offices in Birmingham and manage projects across the region. You will join a team of 17 like-minded H&S professionals (plans to grow this to 20 by the end of the year) who work across our clients offices, they are their to support your own development and assist on larger projects.

The business operates across multiple sectors and the Health & Safety/ CDM department predominantly delivers on residential (both public and private), commercial, regeneration, education, leisure, public sector and care homes.

The role would suit an ambitious H&S/ CDM professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer CPD and training opportunities for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
  • Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement) are in place.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections on a range of property & construction projects across the West Midlands.
  • Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
  • Client facing due to the nature of the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
