- Teaching small classes of students with special educational needs, focusing on individualised learning plans.
- Using PECS and Makaton to support communication and engagement in the classroom.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where all students can achieve their potential.
- Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver effective and accessible lessons.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support holistic development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with Autism and other special educational needs.
- Proficiency in PECS and Makaton is essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching.
- A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
