You will be responsible for creating engaging and tailored lessons for children with complex needs. Teaching small classes of students with special educational needs, focusing on individualised learning plans.
Using PECS and Makaton to support communication and engagement in the classroom.
Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where all students can achieve their potential.
Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver effective and accessible lessons.
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support holistic development.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with children with Autism and other special educational needs.
Proficiency in PECS and Makaton is essential.
A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching.
A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
