THE COMPANY

Working with a range of clients across the UK, this company deliver professional AV services for a range of events awards ceremonies, gala dinners, conferences, and private corporate events. Following a shift to a more virtual offering during the pandemic, the company are now growing the team once again, due to a busy and exciting 2023 pipeline.

THE ROLE

As a Technical Manager you will be highly client facing, dealing with leading agencies and clients from the conceptual stages of the event right up to the completion and will be working within a close-knit technical team.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for quoting and overseeing all technical aspects of any event. The Technical Project Manager will manage all technicians. The Technical Project Manager will ensure that all staff are adequately briefed and prepared for forthcoming events in a timely manner.

They will support the Account Managers in all technical areas of an event. This will involve extensive pre-production work prior to event sign off including technical quotations, site visits, scale plans, set design, set visuals, health, and safety requirements, etc.

  • Regular client meeting & site visits
  • Interpreting and developing the brief with the client
  • Producing quotes and agreeing budgets
  • Managing project timelines and schedules
  • Ensuring project documentation is updated, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Managing suppliers and other 3rd parties
  • Overseeing delivery of the event, working with other departments to ensure post-production activities are completed

THE CANDIDATE

To be successful in this role you will have recent experience in an AV or technical role, likely gained in an AV company or events agency. 

It is also essential that you are experienced in the full lifecycle of an event, whether this is from your current position within an AV company or from your experience as a Senior AV Technician who is looking to take the next step in their career.
