Amadeus Ticketer required! Established Birmingham based Tour Operator is looking for Ticketing Executive. If you have excellent fares and ticketing knowledge and strong GDS experience (ideally Amadeus, but cross-training from Galileo or Sabre a possibility) along with experience of dealing with schedule changes this could be the role for you. You will be responsible to ensure that tickets are issued accurately and on a timely basis. Ideally this is an office/hybrid in Birmingham, however remote working could be considered dependent on experience. Starting salary negotiable/dependent on experience circa £28k pa.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Ensure that all queues are kept up to date including: schedule changes, general, web, native and re-issues,
- Ensure that all Q's are checked at the end of the day to ensure that all tickets have been issued.
- Ensure that all re-issues are completed within deadlines.
- Monitor fuel, tax and fare increases and ensure that agents and clients are notified and deadlines are met.
- Monitor schedule changes and ensure that agents and customers are advised of scheduled changes and then action changes.
- Advise the crisis team of any disruptions to airline services that will affect passengers and ensure that contingency plans are followed.
- Assist with airline refund and ensure they are processed within set guidelines.
- Assist the reservations team with any fare queries if required and liaise with scripting company
- Deal with fare queries from online partners and ensure that fares are released correctly into GDS.
- Out of hours support on a fair rota basis (this is not a busy OOO service, more an emergency cover, with additional pay/time off)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
We are seeking someone with at least 18 months experience of ticketing in a tour operator, for multiple airlines on a native GDS including reissues for office-based/hybrid. If you have extensive and recent ticketing experience on Amadeus, fully conversant and can hit the ground running, remote working could be considered, with flexibility to training in Birmingham (expenses covered) and to come to Birmingham periodically to work with the team and keep in touch.
THE PACKAGE:
Starting salary is circa £28k pa dependent on experience with additional discounted travel, and incentives. This is an establish but still very much growing company, so it's a great time to join.
