A highly respected social housing contractor is looking for an experienced Gas Supervisorto join their established team in North Birmingham. For this position you must have previous experience working on domestic projects.
Role and responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient servicing, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial properties.
- Supervise and manage a team of operatives across all trades.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of gas appliances and heating systems.
- Perform repairs and maintenance to maintain optimal performance and adhere to safety standards.
- Respond quickly to emergency repair requests, troubleshooting issues effectively.
- Keep precise records of work completed, including parts used and time spent.
- Communicate with clients and tenants to explain necessary work and offer maintenance advice.
- Participate in an on-call rota to handle out-of-hours breakdowns as needed.
Requirements:
- Gas Safe registered (Gas Safe ID)
- NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications in gas engineering (at least level 3)
- Proven experience in gas appliance installation, maintenance, and repair, minimum 2 years
- Full UK driving license
- Prior experience in a similar role within the construction or property maintenance industry
- Additional qualifications in plumbing or heating systems
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
