CNC Turner required to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality precision machined components and turned parts, based in the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will come from a CNC Turning background and ideally have Mazak Machine experience with Mazatrol controls, and will also be fully competent with programming from scratch.
CNC Turner - Programmer Setter Job Overview- Set up, program, and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges).
- Work collaboratively with engineers and quality control teams to optimize production processes.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.
- Proficiency in setting, programming, and operating CNC lathes.
- Must be able to programme from scratch
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages (Preferably, Mazatrol)
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Full time permanent position
- Monday to Friday - 42 hour week (07:30 to 16:45 Mon - Thurs, 07:30 to 15:00 on Fridays)
- Salary - £16 to £20 per hour (Depending on experience)
- 33 days holiday including bank holidays
