Think Recruitment are looking for a Floor-layer to join our team in Birmingham, West Midlands on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role to carry out repairs and maintenance work to social housing properties, achieving high standards of customer care and satisfaction, on offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

General Overview

The Floor-layer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of flooring within tenanted properties. This role involves preparing surfaces, laying flooring materials, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and industry standards. The Floor-layer must work efficiently, paying close attention to detail, and adhering to all safety regulations.

What will you deliver?

  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and smoothing surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of flooring materials.
  • Install a variety of flooring materials, including carpet, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tile.
  • Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas, ensuring precise and accurate installation.
  • Apply adhesives, grouts, and other necessary substances to secure flooring materials.
  • Repair and replace damaged sections of flooring, matching existing materials and finishes.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure the flooring is installed correctly, meets quality standards, and aligns with client expectations.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
