Job Title: Floor Layer

Overview
Options Resourcing Ltd are actively recruiting for two experienced Floor Layers to assist on an existing project for a contractor in Birmingham, West Midlands.
Duties
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately
- Install vinyl, and carpet flooring
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and repairing as necessary
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure precise installation according to specifications
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct final inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential
- Familiarity with various types of flooring materials and installation techniques is highly desirable
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to flooring installation
- Experience in carpentry or building is advantageous, providing a solid foundation for flooring work
- Knowledge of painting techniques may be beneficial for finishing touches on installations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
