Location: Field-Based (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + Company Car + Expenses

5 days a week (Saturday's required) 
Day in lieu during week

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a proactive and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. This role is field-based, requiring extensive UK travel to engage with market traders, local authorities, and market operators. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in growing our client’s membership, developing relationships, and promoting the benefits of joining the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase our client’s membership.

  • Travel extensively across the UK to visit markets, engage with traders, and promote our client’s services.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including market operators, councils, and independent traders.

  • Deliver presentations and attend networking events to raise awareness of our client’s benefits.

  • Provide high levels of customer service to ensure positive engagement with existing and potential members.

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for membership growth and partnerships.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and report on progress.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and challenges to provide relevant insights and solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).

  • Previous experience in customer service, business development, or sales.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Friendly, approachable, and confident personality.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Practical, hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as required.
