Edgbaston Priory Club are seeking an organised and self driven Deputy Food and Beverage Manager who embodies our three core values: Inclusivity, Excellence, and Caring.
As Deputy Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a lead role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Food and Beverage services. Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, you will manage, train, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional experiences and oversee all day to day operations of our food and beverage department.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, creating memorable experiences, and have experience in a management role within the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day to day management of the Food and Beverage department, including staffing, operations, and service standards
- Oversee service delivery across the bar, bistro, and event spaces, maintaining a high standard of quality and presentation
- Communicate performance standards and expectations in a way that motivates your team and encourages them to perform to the highest standards
- Support the planning and execution of Club events, ensuring seamless coordination of Food and Beverage services while adding creative flair to enhance the member experience
- Oversee recruitment processes, deliver staff inductions, one to ones, and personal development programmes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Engage with members to ensure their needs are met and their experiences exceed expectations; handle member feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
Youll need:
- Proven experience in a management role within the food and beverage industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, inventory management, and cost control
- A proactive, hands-on approach with great attention to detail
