Assistant Head Teacher - We are looking for an Assistant Head Teacher for a wonderful Primary SEND school in Birmingham. The school supports primary-aged children with complex needs in a holistic setting that focuses on both wellbeing and education. Senior leaders are committed innovators who are always looking at ways to make learning accessible to children who otherwise would have limited access to education and social interaction.  Ofsted Good with “Outstanding” leadership.

This is a permanent post for September which could be offered on an interim basis after Easter.
 
What are they looking for?

  • An existing Assistant Headteacher or aspiring Head Teacher looking for a new opportunity.
  • A QTS Primary teacher used to working in a SEND setting where the children you support are always a priority.
  • Happy to work with and as part of a team in support of the Headteacher.
  • Able to lead from the front and continue to achieve the high standards the School already enjoys as part of a small Trust.
  • Used to working with complex needs and happiest when a child makes even the smallest amount of progress.
  • Able to support teaching and learning staff and enable them to develop classroom practices that really have an impact.
  • A strategic thinker to work alongside the Headteacher creating future plans for the schools growth.
  • Show capacity to lead not just across the curriculum but by creating a more holistic approach to learning and sensory development.
  • A must is a leader with a smile for every child and real capacity to lead from the front.

This role requires a QTS teacher with previous leadership experience as an Assistant Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher, ideally within a SEND setting.
