The Opportunity:We are currently supporting a 1-form entry primary school in Birmingham who are looking for an experienced Interim Headteacher to join them during a period of significant change. About the School:The school is located in a vibrant and diverse community in Birmingham. With a dedicated team of staff, the school is seeking a Headteacher who can guide them through this period of transition, restore stability, and continue to drive improvement across all areas. As a small, 1-form entry school, the role requires a hands-on leader who can work closely with both staff and pupils, ensuring that every child's needs are met while ensuring the school moves forward with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the school through a period of change, ensuring the highest standards of education and pastoral care.
- Work collaboratively with staff, governors, and parents to create a unified vision for the school's future.
- Provide strong leadership, ensuring that teaching standards remain high and that staff feel supported and motivated.
- Drive improvement initiatives in key areas such as pupil outcomes, behavior management, and overall school culture.
- Ensure the stability of the school environment, particularly in the face of change, while maintaining a focus on long-term growth.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with the school community, including staff, parents, and local stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher, ideally within a primary school setting.
- Proven track record of driving school improvement and supporting staff through periods of transition.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a dedicated team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker who can develop and implement plans for school improvement while ensuring the day-to-day running of the school.
