Fire Alarm Engineer - Role and Responsibilities:
- Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems to industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant with regulations.
- Fault diagnosis and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring fast and effective resolution of issues.
- Upgrade and modify systems to meet client needs and comply with current standards.
- Ensure compliance with British Standards, health and safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by liaising with clients, addressing queries, and delivering expert advice.
- Maintain accurate documentation including service reports, maintenance logs, and installation certificates.
- Collaborate with other engineers and trades to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Stay up to date with the latest fire alarm technology and industry standards through continuous training.
Fire Alarm Engineer - Skills & Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
- Proven experience in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Excellent fault-finding skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with industry standards and fire safety regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and system specifications.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach to work.
- Commitment to health and safety practices in all tasks.
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
- Experience with various manufacturers.
