Title: Health & Safety Advisor
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will support the QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) Manager in maintaining and enhancing safety standards across the manufacturing site. You will be responsible for implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, advising on best practices, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among employees
- Assist the QSHE Manager in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support accident investigations, including root cause analysis, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver training and workshops to employees on health and safety practices and safe working procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of safety audits, incidents, and training activities.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure safe work practices and maintain a positive safety culture.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and legislative changes to advise the business effectively.
Qualifications and knowledge: NEBOSH Qualified
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) is essential.
- Previous experience in a health and safety advisory role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office applications for record-keeping and reporting.

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience.
