Job Title: Health & Safety AdvisorLocation: Birmingham, Coventry/WarwickSalary: £52,000 – Birmingham, £45,000 Warwick/CoventryAre you a passionate, engaging, and proactive Health & Safety Advisor, looking to develop your career, with a highly reputable construction company?If so, this is the job for you!HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor, with the opportunity to represent a progressive company constructing a large portion of HS2. This is an exciting role reporting into the Health and Safety Manager. The role will be focused on providing functional health and safety advice, guidance and coaching to Project Teams.Main Responsibilities:
  • Advise, guide and coach all personnel on the project with the implementation of the HSMS.
  • Advise on project compliance with the HSMS and statutory provisions.
  • Maintain the Health & Safety competence matrix.
  • Deliver the H&S induction and other H&S briefing along with the construction team
  • Monitor onboarding process
  • Production, review and implementation of the CPP.
  • Review of Risk Assessment and Method Statement
  • Support the team in the accident/incident investigations procedure and timely communication of the findings.
  • Monitoring of the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers and assisting the Procurement Team
  • Undertake assurance inspection on site
  • Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties.
  • Assist with the development, regular review and update of the HSMS.
  • Support the business to win work.  When directed complete PQQs and tender enquiries.
  • Contribute to the development of an Injury Free Environment.

Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:·        Previous experience in Construction Project/Facilities Health & Safety·        NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Construction activities – minimum)·        NEBOSH General Certificate (Facilities activities – minimum)·        Experience of working on construction site (earthwork, pilling, foundation, civil work, viaduct, land contamination, asbestos removal, batching plant, lifting operations and MEWPS)Ideal Personality Traits:-
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with gravitas and ability to influence and lead
