A leading national consultancy is seeking a dynamic Health and Safety Advisor to work on exciting projects between Birmingham and London.

This role offers the flexibility of remote working, with no more than two site visits per week, making it an ideal opportunity for a professional looking for work-life balance while working on a diverse range of projects.

The Health and Safety Advisor Role

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide expert guidance and support across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and CDM 2015 regulations. With projects spanning retail, commercial, manufacturing, engineering, and automotive sectors, this role promises variety and the chance to make a meaningful impact on high-profile developments.

Health and Safety Advisor Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health and safety advice on retail, commercial, manufacturing, engineering, and automotive projects.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and training to contractors and project teams.
  • Support the preparation of pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to embed health and safety best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend hazard elimination strategies.

The Health and Safety Advisor

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role within construction, ideally across multiple sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work flexibly with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits (no more than twice per week).
