A reputable, award winning law firm based in multiple locations throughout the UK are seeking an experienced, proactive and engaging Health and Safety Manager to join them on a part time (22 hours a week), permanent basis. Leading on all Health and Safety matters across all of their offices, the successful candidate will lead and implement all H&S processes and procedures to ensure full compliance within their UK offices. The successful candidate must have Health and Safety Management experience within a corporate setting, ideally having worked with or for a previous law firm alongside be happy to commit to the 22 hours a week. The full time equivalent salary on this role is up to £37,000 per annum.

Day to day duties include:

  • Liaise with External Health and Safety Consultant and wider local teams.
  • Review and implement health and safety policies in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure these policies are communicated effectively to all personnel.
  • Site Inspections and Risk Assessments.
  • Provide training and development plan for the supporting health and safety officer role within the team.
  • Stay updated with all relevant health, safety, and environment regulations.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports to management and regulatory bodies where necessary.
  • Office staff workstation (DSE) Assessments
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate records of safety activities including incidents, training records, safety inspections and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Provide support and update EHS working procedures.
  • Other duties may vary accordingly.

The successful candidate must have worked in a stand alone Health and Safety managers role within a professional services firm previously and be happy to travel to any of their UK offices when needed. You will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of UK Health and Safety law, NEBOSH qualifications is essential alongside have a strong commercial awareness.
