Safety and Quality Field Advisor

Location: Midlands (Open to flying to Bahrain every 3 weeks)

Salary: £40,000 per annuum + 5k car allowance

It is essential that on every site, our clients operate have standards for Health, Safety, Quality and Customer Care that are exemplary. This role tests their progress identifying areas for improvement and assists operations with implementation in an advisory manner.

The Role

This position reports directly to the Head of Health & Safety, Welfare and Environment and operates totally independent from the rest of the company. The job holder will also have instant access to the CEO and all company directors and will receive their absolute support in ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visit at least one site per day and report back findings.
  • Prepare written reports on each site’s findings, highlighting issues with solutions. Apply best practice along with general observations on processes, behaviours and application.
  • Act as the company’s ambassador when meeting clients, contractors and suppliers enhancing their reputation.
  • Provide staff on site feedback and sound advice.
  • Any risks to health or safety must be immediately mitigated and where appropriate work should be stopped and solutions found before any recommencement.
  • Any serious issues or problems identified will require an immediate telephone call to either the Head of Health & Safety, Welfare and Environment, Operations Director or the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Occasional site visits conducting the same responsibilities as highlighted above may be required overseas.

Skills and Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Certification.
  • Experience in site audits and report writing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and excellent motivational skills.
  • Positive outlook to Health and Safety together with a pragmatic approach to finding solutions.
  • Comfortable with dealing and resolving conflict.
  • Highly analytical, meticulous and excellent attention to detail.
