Biology Teacher

Career Teachers are currently recruiting qualified Biology Teachers for January 2025.

We are looking to appoint passionate and dedicated Teachers of Biology who are ideally looking for long-term or permanent roles starting January 2025 to meet the high demand for our schools. We work in wide variety of Secondary Schools in the Birmingham and surrounding area's.

We are extremely busy with requests from our schools with the flexibility of working around your commitments with part-time and full-time hours to suit, as well as short-term and long-term assignments, with some leading to permanent contracts.

You will need to be resourceful and innovative in your teaching approach and be able to teach all aspects of Biology at key stage 3 to 4 with a good track record of teaching and learning outcomes. The additional experience of teaching at KS5 would be advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Biology or a related field
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience in teaching Biology at key stage 3 and 4
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate and dedicated to teaching and learning.
• Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
• Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
