Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) | Yardley, B25 | Full Time | £100-£115 per day | November Start

LTF Recruitment is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA to join the team at a supportive and inclusive primary school in Yardley, B25. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in the classroom by leading learning activities and covering lessons during planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time. You will also work closely with individual pupils and small groups, helping to track progress and support their learning journey.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Work with SEN pupils, promoting engagement and participation in lessons
  • Assist with reading, writing, and other core subjects
  • Lead lessons during PPA time, ensuring a smooth delivery of learning activities
  • Plan and deliver sessions for small groups or whole classes when needed

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in a school setting
  • HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential
  • A good understanding of SEN and how to support children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
  • Confident in leading class activities and managing groups
