Interventions Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B29 | 85 - 100 per day | ASAP Start

LTF Recruitment is searching for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming partner primary school nestled in the heart of Selly Oak. This incredibly fulfilling position offers you the chance to positively impact the lives of young learners as they embark on their educational journey, by delivering targeted interventions that will further their progress towards meeting age-expected level expectations. The school is looking for a teaching assistant to join them on a full-time basis ASAP, for the right candidate this can progress from long-term to permanent position.

As part of this role, you will be expected to:

  • Assist in creating and adapting teaching resources and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students in the class.
  • Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and organizing the classroom environment.
  • Support students with their overall wellbeing by delivering targeted interventions to support learning and development.
  • Support children with SEN on a 1:1 basis, as well as small group sessions, outside the classroom and within lessons.
  • Introduce fun activities and games to promote socialisation and inclusivity.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
  • Have at least one year's experience supporting primary school pupils, ideally Early Years or KS1.
  • Have some understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Have experience leading group and 1:1 phonics interventions.
