LTF Recruitment is on the lookout for a passionate Interventions Teaching Assistant to join our friendly partner primary school situated in the heart of Balsall Heath. In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting students as they prepare for their SATs, delivering focused interventions to enhance their academic progress, and ensuring a smooth transition to the next stage of their education. The school is seeking a full-time candidate to start immediately, with the potential for the role to develop from long-term to a permanent position for the right individual.

As part of this role, you will be expected to:

  • Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities by preparing resources, organising equipment, and ensuring a structured and engaging learning environment.
  • Provide targeted interventions designed to support pupils' academic growth, customised to address their individual learning needs.
  • Play a key role in preparing students for their SATs, boosting their confidence and helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Offer one-to-one support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and lead small group sessions to encourage engagement and progress.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
  • Have at least one year's experience supporting primary school pupils, ideally KS2.
  • Have experience leading group and 1:1 interventions.
