The Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills will teach, train and assess students working across a range of Construction and related qualifications.Main Duties of the Lecturer in Carpentry and Multiskills:

  • Teach a range of programmes within Construction and act as a Course Tutor
  • Take a Course Coordinator role for agreed programmes
  • Support student induction and enrolment with the Construction school
  • Assist in the development of the curriculum and learning materials - this will include the College's virtual offer
  • Develop external contacts to promote industry-based work including work placements

Role Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Carpentry
  • Hold a level Teaching Qualification or be willing to work towards
  • Level 3 Assessor Award (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in the Construction industry with a focus on Carpentry and Joinery as well as Multiple Trades
  • Proven experience of teaching or training/mentoring
