Reed Further Education are seeking a Science Lecturer to deliver GCSE Combined Science and BTEC Applied Science. This role is based across two campuses. The position involves teaching students aged 13-16 and is ideal for candidates passionate about science education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach GCSE Combined Science and BTEC Applied Science to students aged 13-16.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to a range of learning needs.
  • Manage classroom environments across different campuses: Longbridge (Monday) and Hall Green (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).
  • Conduct assessments and provide feedback to students to facilitate progress and achievement.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to teaching and student management, totalling 6 hours per week.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a teaching qualification.
  • Level 3 qualification in a science related subject.
  • Experience in teaching GCSE and/or BTEC courses in combined Science and Applied Science.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
