Location- Kings Norton, Birmingham B30

Daily Rate- £85 -£100 |Start Date- September 2024 |Days- Monday to Friday | Hours- 8:30am to 3:30pm

LTF Recruitment are searching for 2 calm, patient and adaptable, SEMH Teaching Assistants to work within a mainstream primary school. Each role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in either Year 3 or Year 4, both in and out of the classroom. Both pupils have Special Educational Needs and will require previous experience and strong behaviour management skills to do well in these roles.

The Roles:

  • 1x Year 3 child, with Speech and Language difficulties, Autism, and ADHD.
  • 1x Year 4 child, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and challenging behaviour.

Who are we looking for?

  • Behaviour Management training such as Team Teach, or strong behaviour management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (non-verbal skills such as Makaton is highly desirable).
  • Relevant SEN and SEMH experience within an education setting.
  • Strong experience supporting SEN students on a 1:1 basis.
  • A good team player that is able to work with other staff and under direction of the class teacher or SENCO.
  • Knowledge of maintaining and updating and reviewing progress of EHCPS
