Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a flair for classroom management and strong behaviour management? Long-term futures are proud to work with a successful community special school based in Birmingham (B93).

In this role, you will help to support children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Working closely with teachers to support children's learning, social and emotional development.

Due to the location of this role, you must have a driving license with access to your own vehicle as public transport is not reliable.

What will my role involve?

  • You'll help to develop strategies for young children and their learning, helping to manage their responses in a positive and constructive way.
  • You'll support young children with their social and emotional skills.
  • Routinely celebrating successes and achievements to help motivate young children.

How can I be successful?

  • You will need to have strong classroom and behavioural management skills to cater to young children with complex needs and difficulties.
  • You'll be a strong and resilient role model, helping young children to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Ideally you'll hold a level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification, although the right personality with experience will be a great fit!
