Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional and complex needs? We have an exciting opportunity to join a Primary School in Erdington on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children with additional and complex needs, providing tailored support to ensure they thrive in their learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping to manage challenging behaviour with effective, positive strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional and complex needs
Assist in managing classroom behaviour using strong behaviour management techniques
Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
Promote an inclusive environment that encourages student participation and confidence

The Ideal Candidate:
Level 2 qualified as a Teaching Assistant (minimum)
Experience working with children with additional and complex needs
Strong behaviour management skills and experience managing challenging behaviour
Team Teach training (or a willingness to undertake training) is highly desirable
A passion for working with children and supporting their individual learning needs
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Strong behaviour management skills are a must.
