Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Type: Full Time, Long Term

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with autism, ADHD, and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Support students in both classroom and one-on-one settings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience in an SEN school.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with children with autism, ADHD, and PMLD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
