This new academic year holds exciting opportunities for our staff to work in the primary schools we work with on a long term basis! I am working with a lovely mainstream Primary School in Yardley - who are looking to offer their long term Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant roles to our supply staff. 

Upon the schools return, the demand for Teaching Assistant's / Learning Support Assistant's is high, and we need people who are able to start from October half term. The school needs a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to work in the mainstream primary school, and who is happy to work with those children who have SEN and require additional support in lessons, in or outside the classroom. This can sometimes be within the classroom, and also outside the class, in more sensory appropriate rooms in the school.

Job Description:

  • As a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers and supporting students' learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support, facilitating group activities, and assisting with classroom management. You will be creating close relationships with the students , therefore it is essential that you are passionate about getting the very best from the students and their learning, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • This role will require you to work inside the classroom and also outside the classroom in a separate , more sensory appropriate space for the student.
  • This school have a fantastic separate learning space that the schools Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant can work with their pupils 1:1 and in small groups, so you should be comfortable to adapt and work accordingly. 

Requirements:

  • Level 2 / 3 Qualification in Supporting and Learning in Schools is preferred but not essential 
  • SEN experience is preferred / happy to work with a child with SEN
  • Experience in a similar role is essential as we need to be able to reference your experience
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different learners
  • DBS - Full enhanced CHILD ONLY
  • x2 references to show education/childcare related experience
