Teaching Assistant - KS2 (Year 4 & Year 5)
Location: Bordesley Green, Birmingham, B9
Pay Scale: 90 - 105 per day
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: 10th March 2025
Long Term Futures is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support KS2 students in Year 4 and Year 5. This full-time role involves working closely with the class teacher to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all pupils.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom-based support to Year 4 and Year 5 students.
- Assist in delivering lessons, ensuring all pupils remain engaged and supported.
- Help manage classroom behavior in line with the school's policies.
- Support group activities, interventions, and catch-up sessions to help pupils achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure progress is monitored and feedback is actioned.
- Encourage and promote independence among pupils, boosting their confidence.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Have experience working in a primary school, particularly in KS2.
- Be confident supporting children across a range of abilities, including those with SEN.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils.
- Be proactive, flexible, and committed to creating a positive learning environment.
